Terms of Service

ImageOptimizer provides browser-based image tools (compress, convert, background removal, HEIC handling), optional SEO filename suggestions, cloud export to linked providers, and a Developer API for server-side optimization. Features and limits vary by plan — see Pricing.

We may change, add, or remove features. We will not materially reduce paid entitlements mid-billing-period without a reasonable path (e.g. cancel or credit) where required by applicable law.

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and API keys.

• Only process content you have rights to use (including client assets).
• Do not abuse rate limits, probe vulnerabilities, or disrupt the Service.
• Do not use the Service for illegal content, malware delivery, or infringement.
• Do not resell access or scrape the Service in ways that violate these Terms or plan limits.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create security risk.

Local tools run in your browser via WebAssembly. Recommended file sizes depend on your device. Paid users may override safety caps at their own risk. We are not liable for browser freezes, crashes, or data loss on your device.

Closing the tab clears in-browser processing memory. Local tools do not permanently store your catalog on our servers unless you use a server feature (API, SEO naming, cloud export staging).

SEO naming is provided as-is. Suggestions may be inaccurate or suboptimal for SEO. You are responsible for reviewing filenames before use. Monthly allowances apply by plan.

Developer API usage must stay within plan daily limits and our published docs. Keys must not be shared publicly. Server-side optimize uploads images to our infrastructure for processing.

Cloud exportdepends on third-party OAuth (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive). You are bound by those providers' terms. We are not responsible for their uptime, storage quotas, or policy changes.

Paid tiers are sold as monthly subscriptions (currently Starter, Pro, and Agency) through Paddle. Prices and limits are shown at checkout and on the pricing page. Taxes may apply as determined by Paddle.

You may cancel an active subscription from the account / pricing UI. After cancel, access typically continues through the end of the current paid period, then reverts to free entitlements. Lifetime licenses are no longer sold; existing grandfathered Lifetime accounts retain their documented entitlements.

Refunds:Except where required by law or Paddle's buyer policies, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. We may grant goodwill refunds for verified Service failures at our discretion. Browser incompatibility, user error, or unused quota alone do not guarantee a refund.

ImageOptimizer branding, UI, docs, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of your images and content. You grant us a limited license to process content only as needed to provide features you request (e.g. API optimize, AI naming, export staging).

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ImageOptimizer and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of images that exist only in browser memory. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim (or USD $50 if you paid nothing).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, limits apply to the maximum extent allowed.

We may update these Terms by posting a new effective date. Material changes may be highlighted in-product or by email when practical. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
